    Just a regular SSH transfer of a 1080i ATSC recording pegs the iPad CPU
at about 30%. On my setup, the transfer isn't fast enough to keep up with the
framerate/bitrate of the video.

    Dedicated decoder hardware is needed for a number of reasons.
