I enabled TripleBuffer and was able to still replicate the problem seen in the log I previously provided and described.  When things are working,  doesn't seem smoother with TripleBuffer enabled  than when it was disabled. But hey, more video memory for 2D textures is a good thing in this case I think, so I'll leave it.
