A potentially very useful device, especially if the cable companies get
their 
wish and are allowed to turn off component outputs.

The Chinese user manual might come in handy, in Bejing :-)

It says it's HDCP capable, I wonder if it might be considered as
circumventing 
a protection mechanism.
