I have a user job that clips commercials and transcodes using
Handbrake. My purposes are archival but Handbrake has very good iPhone
presets. The script I am using does not change the recording in the
database, however, it makes a new file. I'll share it with you if you
like, but you should be aware that it may require some tweaking to
work on your system. I haven't done a lot of work to make it
"portable" or easily usable by others. If you want it, send me an
email off-list.
