[mythtv-users] How would you handle the kids leaving Live Tv on all the time?

As distasteful as that might be, yes. I would emphasize the "green" aspect of 
the matter, energy is not to be wasted, for a lot of reasons. A good start to 
a discussion of the limited resources available to the planet, and how we 
should react to the situation.

The "pedal the bicycle in order to watch TV"  approach teaches a lot about the 
amount of energy TV viewing requires, but it's probably not practical for most 
households.
