[mythtv-users] How to backup/archive recording with CC.

Hi,

  I want to backup my recording with closed captions. How can I use 
archive menu in the frontend to preserve the CC? I can keep the original 
intact, but that would waste TS overhead. So, how can I do a lossless 
transcode and still preserve the CC? Can I use an external program like 
ccextracter to get the CC first in the
.srt format and use that later to play the video with caption?
