Yep. That worked. I was able to play music from a CD by pressing M. There are also down on the right hand side of the screen the "buttons" for stop, play, fast forward and etc : Do you happen to know which keys should I press to use these buttons.

I don't know about MythMusic, but under MythVideo, when you're at the empty folder, press M.  It's the first menu item in the OSD.
