As an aside, if you have a projector, often 24hz (48hz really) and 50hz is a lot quieter than 60hz due to slower colour wheel speed.
I have my fe desktop set to 50hz so I only get 60hz when it's needed for 30 or 60hz video, so it can make a difference :-)
