use the DPI option in xorg.conf to fix this:
in the Monitor section, add :
Option   "DPI" 100

If for some reasons setting the DPI vaue doesn't work,  add
 Option   "UseEdidDpi" "false"

i found that he nvidia drivers almost never get the dpi right
