I'll give that a shot, but isn't ncq disabled when I have the SATA
controller set to compatibility (non-ahci) mode?
Also I should add that I see weird other issues, like I have to
rmmod/modprobe hdpvr a few times before the 2 devices both show up,
none of this happens when booting off of the non-ssd HD.  Same kernel,
and should be all the same files on both devices, rsync'd from the HD
to the SSD...

I'll also post this to the other list after further testing.
