[mythtv-users] automatic ivtc, refresh rate and digital displays?

Does myth (automatically) do anything in the way of detecting telecine
the way mplayer does?

I'm sure we've all seen mplayer do:

demux_mpg: 24000/1001fps progressive NTSC content detected, switching
framerate.

And if you single step through a full second of material, you will
notice there are 24 (progressive) frames, as the original recording of
the material intended.

ISTM that with the ability to change the refresh rate of digital
displays, myth could/should detect telecining, start doing
inverse-telecine to restore the 24fps progressive frames and then change
the display's refresh rate and disable any other deinterlacing that
might be getting done either in software or by vdpau.

Thots?
