I guess I'm not so sure any more.  I did a number of recordings today,
even multirecs and all seems to be working fine.

I didn't (yet).  Where should I get that from?  I suppose it would be
nice if somebody kept a PPA of the latest drivers seeing as there seem
to be important inter-Ubuntu-release updates.  :-)
