And how is it that you wish to skip in MKV files? MythTV's internal
player works the same way on MKV's as it does on anything else - out
of the box, that's:

Left - Skip back 5(? I think) seconds
Right - Skip forward 30 seconds
Up - Skip back 10 minutes / one chapter (MKV chapter support worked
last time I tried it)
Down - Skip forward 10 minutes / one chapter

Plus the usual range of more arcane commands to skip to specific points.

What behaviour are you looking for?
