Hi!
I have a FireDTV card that records HD (720) to h264, and a sound
format that my PS3 cannot understand.
I can watch the recordings, but no sound.
When it records sd, no problem.
And I've tries on a pc, and there is sound in the HD recordings as well.
I ran mplayer -identify on the HD file, and this came out
VIDEO H264(pid=2311) AUDIO AAC(pid=2325) NO SUBS (yet)! PROGRAM N. 1
FPS seems to be: 50.000000
ID_FILENAME=/media/store/1006_20100513200000.mpg
ID_DEMUXER=mpegts
ID_VIDEO_FORMAT=0x10000005
ID_VIDEO_BITRATE=0
ID_VIDEO_WIDTH=0
ID_VIDEO_HEIGHT=0
ID_VIDEO_FPS=50.000
ID_VIDEO_ASPECT=0.0000
ID_AUDIO_FORMAT=MP4A
ID_AUDIO_BITRATE=0
ID_AUDIO_RATE=0
ID_AUDIO_NCH=0
ID_LENGTH=0.00
ID_SEEKABLE=1
ID_CHAPTERS=0
For and SD recording, i get
VIDEO MPEG2(pid=1049) AUDIO MPA(pid=1048) NO SUBS (yet)! PROGRAM N. 1
VIDEO: MPEG2 720x576 (aspect 3) 25.000 fps 15000.0 kbps (1875.0 kbyte/s)
ID_FILENAME=/media/store/1004_20100307133000.mpg
ID_DEMUXER=mpegts
ID_VIDEO_FORMAT=0x10000002
ID_VIDEO_BITRATE=15000000
ID_VIDEO_WIDTH=720
ID_VIDEO_HEIGHT=576
ID_VIDEO_FPS=25.000
ID_VIDEO_ASPECT=0.0000
ID_AUDIO_FORMAT=80
ID_AUDIO_BITRATE=0
ID_AUDIO_RATE=0
ID_AUDIO_NCH=0
ID_LENGTH=1301.97
ID_SEEKABLE=1
ID_CHAPTERS=0
Now, does anyone have some pointers in how to convert just the sound
in the HD, to the sound encoding from the SD?
I've looked into mencoder, and ffmpeg, but I'm not that familliar with
the terminology, so
the options are kind of overwhelming and intimidating...
