I suppose you could use directional antennas and try to use the multipath
reflections, but it's tricky. I'd love to see something like that be really
useful, I just don't see it right now. Kind of like the IR based high speed
networking that got posted on /. not so long ago. :)

I'm with you, copper is the way to go right now. Perhaps something better
will come out later.
