I just ripped Sherlock Holmes using DVDFab as an .iso file and it
dumped to the front end just as the physical disk did. I guess that's
a testament to DVDFab's ability to make a "true" dump of the disk! I
ended up extracting the main movie and now we can watch it... It was
a netflix rental so I'll be deleting the file once we're done
watching. Stupid movie companies making me jump through hoops to
watch something.

Can MythTV be made to play fast and loose with the DVD standards when
necessary? It seems like stand alone DVD players must have that
ability so there should be a software solution.
