No problem thought it was worth asking.

I just didn't want to have to start editing theme files etc it is yet
another customisation that can't be made within the Mythtv - i.e.
installing a plugin but not using it.

I have not seen any option in Mythtv to disable a plugin.  I do not
want all the mythvideo menu options polluting my menu structure.
