In addition to the suggestions provided by others you might think of
using a full wave loop antenna. It's size is a bit unwieldy for indoor
use however you can create a two or three turn loop that shrinks the
antenna to quite a managable size. It also provides the most gain you
can get in a single wire antenna. The calculator at this page:

Will give you the dimensions. You can feed it direct to your receivers
with either 50 or 75 ohm coax and if you mount the antenna on a frame
you will be able to rotate the antenna to maximize your signal. The edge
of the antenna is a notch in the pattern so you can also rotate the
antenna to minimize interference.

Despite what others have said here, a good mast mounted LNA type
amplifier connected right at the feed point of the loop will improve
your weak signal performance however it is susceptible to overload from
nearby strong signals. I am talking about the kind of amp that is
designed to be mounted at the feedpoint of a yagi antenna not the kind
designed for use as a signal booster on long coax runs. The Channel
Master #3041DSB Deluxe Antenna Amplifier is a good example.

William.
