Every keyboard/mouse I have ever met has been USB 1.1 (aside: the names are 
strictly usb low/full speed and usb high speed, but that's just a marketing 
thing)

How odd. It "just works" for me, or did once I found the echo was needed. I 
also have wake on lan working nicely.
