[mythtv-users] Cannot play videos from frontend but can from vnc'd in box

I have a question on running mythtv .22:

I have my movies showing up in mythvideo now. However, when I go to play
one nothing happens. I checked the logs and cannot find any errors. I
figure it must be something to do with configuration. Im trying to use
the internal player and trying to play any type of video file -
avi,mpg,flv. From the remote I click on the movie and the second screen
comes up with the option of playing the movie. I hit enter on the play
button but nothing happens??

Figured something out but still dont know the answer. I vnc'd in from my
other box and thru the frontend interface Iam 
able to play videos no problem. I physically go over to the mythtv box
and go to "watch videos" and the same ones will not play. Kicks me back
out to the list of videos page.

Changed permissions on files (777) and directories and no change. Im
sure Im missing something in the setup but cannot 
find it.

any thoughts anyone?
