[mythtv-users] Unable to connect to remote backend

I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 with that latest mythtv 0.22. I have a backend
machine that's working fine and am trying to setup a secondary frontend
(also a Ubuntu 9.10 machine).

I am able to remotely access the mysql database (using mysql -h
192.168.1.100 -umythtv -p<XXXXX) but when I run mythfrontend and point it to
the remote backend at 192.168.1.100 I get the following output and it
hangs:

2010-01-18 12:10:29.047 mythfrontend version: branches/release-0-22-fixes
[22594] www.mythtv.org
2010-01-18 12:10:29.125 AudioPulseUtil: Suspend Success

2010-01-18 12:10:29.126 Using configuration directory = /home/rickmg/.mythtv
2010-01-18 12:10:29.750 Empty LocalHostName.
2010-01-18 12:10:29.750 Using localhost value of sfat
2010-01-18 12:10:29.751 Testing network connectivity to '192.168.1.100'
2010-01-18 12:10:29.772 New DB connection, total: 1

A web search didn't turn much up (a few suggestions about a firewall, but
I'm not running one internally). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
