[mythtv-users] Stuttering in mythmusic

Hi list,

I am having problems in MythMusic where all my mp3-files are
stuttering horribly. As in playing one third of a second and then
pausing one third of a second. If I Pause a few seconds they will play
nicely for a few seconds before stuttering again.

2010-01-12 22:37:58.590 WriteAudio: buffer underrun

And the buffer underruns continues till I stop playing. The hardware
is an Asrock 330 with 2 gig memory, and there is no problems with
video files, HD video and the audio in these plays beautifully. The
backend is another computer, a 2.6 Dual Core with 4 gig of memory. 100
Mbit cable between these computers.

I am noticing this from top when playing music

  PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
 3768 mythtv    15   0  852m 252m  32m S 100.3 16.8   6:04.47 mythfrontend

so I guess the problem might be here. I am still running 0.21, and my
previous frontend, a 800 Mhz 256 Mb Centos 4 computer played mp3's
without problems. Still does, but it is not in my living room anymore.
Running Centos 5.4, havent yet tried another os but might try minimyth
or something else if I have to. Also running Gnome, on my other
frontend I used to do this
http://www.wilsonet.com/mythtv/windowmaker.txt but havent on this
computer yet.

[root at asrock ~]# cat /etc/asound.conf
pcm.!default {
       type hw
       card 0
       device 3
}

I have been through the Digital Sound howtos on the wiki, but it seems
that no matter what I do it wont do any difference. Video plays
nicely, mythmusic stutters. Playing the same mp3's through mplayer
works fine, no stuttering. Also tried both analog through an amplifier
and digital through the telly, no difference

Any tips?
