[mythtv-users] How do I properly blacklist the juju firewire stack in fedora 12?

Hi,

I have been having continuing issues with firewire recrodings that I
believe stem from the juju stack. I am trying to revert back to using
the old ieee1394 packages from ATRPMS. New KMDLs have been built for
the current kernel.

I installed the package and created a file in /etc/modules.d/ called
firewire.conf that contains the following:
blacklist firewire_core
blacklist firewire_ohci

I rebooted the system, and it appears that these two still load up
from looking at lsmod. Is that because it is built in the kernel?
Something similar happened when I tried to blacklist the nouveau
driver. I was able to add an argument in grub.conf
("nouveau.modset=0") to fix that, but I am not sure how I would go
about doing it for these drivers. I would like to avoid having to
rebuild initrd (no idea how and it sounds like it could screw things
up).
