Pretty sure I replied to two of your earlier patches saying "file a
ticket". Its not just a "I think you should", its a "do it, or nobody
is going to take you seriously". Seriously. Patches need to be tracked
somewhere other than a mailing list archive. Otherwise, they get lost
and/or forgotten.

I think it sounds like a reasonable patch. I'd even be happy to try it
out and comment on it, and hell, maybe even apply it. But... only
after its got a proper ticket in trac. :)
