Do you need a Windows client? VLC might work. XBMC is available for Windows I
believe, and it should work.
There are several hardware UPnP client/renderers available. An XBox-360 works
well, I have a D-Link DSM-520 that works well, as does the Myka and the PS/3.
I'd assume the Popcorn Hour and other NMTs would work as well.
Some DirectTV satellite receivers will also work with any UPnP server on your
network.
Some TV sets by HP will also work as a UPnP/DLNA client/renderer. I think some
Sony sets will also do that.
I'd think that almost anything would be better than WMP.
