I am in need of some help in getting HDMI audio to work on a Zotac ION
system. The system is a Zotac IONITX-E series with HDMI connected an
HDMI port in a Sony A/V receiver. The receiver then connects to a Sony
LCD TV with an HDMI cable. The computer is running MythDora 10.21,
with MythTV upgraded to 0.22-2. The following alsa packages are
installed. Also, in the BIOS, I have it set for the AZALIA AUDIO to
use the Internal Codec + External Codec.

alsa-utils-1.0.21-2.fc10.i386
alsa-lib-1.0.21-2.fc10.i386

After searching through past emails to the list, when some users run
the aplay commands it displays an HDMI listing. I've read some places
that say it depends on the kernel that is being used. I am running
Linux 2.6.27.41-170.2.117.fc10.i686.PAE i686. One place I found saying
that this needs to be in the kernel.

CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_NVHDMI=y

Maybe this needs to be compiled into the kernel. Let me know.
