No it's not, and I don't expect anything except to stop the casual non-
technical users from connecting. In my neighborhood I feel it's good enough,
and anything I'd worry about is already using SSL or SSH anyway. The worst
case would be someone using my bandwidth, which would probably concern my ISP
more than me.

True, but you can set things up so that anything coming in over the WiFi
router or AP can't access anything important. My in-house network is separate
from my WiFi network, and there's a hardware firewall between them.
I don't do anything critical, and as long as I make a "good faith effort" I
can't be accused of making things freely available by the RIAA or their ilk.
