Rafael,
    The reason I suggested the config.xml file was because the issue was 
common across any python script that uses the python bindings and open a 
MythTV data base connection (Jamu, Mirobridge, seven of the 
MytheNetvision grabbers ... etc).

    I cannot see an issue with the config file you displayed. The file 
always belongs in '~/.mythtv' directory of the account you are running 
the python script. I have personal scripts that I run as userjobs that 
use the bindings and in thise cases I even needed to have a config file 
for root which was the same as my user account.

I am not sure what else to suggest.
