The default in mythbuntu is to mount the device on /dev/cdrom0 (check
/proc/mounts). All other locations (/dev/dvd, /dev/cdrom etc..) are
only symlinks to the main mount point.

for BD playback to work, AACS needs to get the key for your
drive/disk, and to do so, it must use the original mounting point.

So again, how sure are you ? :)
