I know "me too" isn't considered a wildly useful response, but just
so that you know this isn't an isolated issue, every BBC {ONE,} HD
recording I make suffers from these issues. The duration isn't
reported correctly. Attempts to jump back/forward within the recording,
and bookmarks go to the wrong place. Logs often show h264 errors,
although the playback is perfect and smooth.

I don't know if this further info is useful, but attempts to jump back
a bit, often jump forward. The longer one has been continuously watching
the recording, the further forward the jump back will take you. Same
with bookmarks: the longer one has been continuously watching, the
further forward of the correct position the bookmark will be.

Although the initial jump foward/back goes to the wrong place, it does
seem to reset something, because if you continue jumping to where you
wish to continue, and then immediately set a bookmark then the bookmark
is correctly positioned. It is continuous uninterupted watching that
causes the drift.

Cheers,
	Paul.
