Most developers I know would consider a sum such as you mention an 
insult if trying to PAY them for their work, commercial development 
would cost a LOT more.

But I think it's been tried here, with a singular lack of interest :-)

I'd pay for Myth in a heartbeat, but I don't think I could afford to pay 
the devs what their time is really worth.
