[mythtv-users] channel scan missing channels

Yes I have experienced this same issue. I discovered that just doing another scan can pick up more channels that the first scan missed. My cable signal quality seems good and it really doesn't seem to be a hardware issue as and I've found this same problem exists on two differnet cards (a pcHDTV HD-3000 and a pcHDTV-HD5500). FYI I'm on Cox Cable which uses QAM-256.

PS. I'd like to say a massive "Thanks" to the developer that fixed the channel scan so that it now saves the actual channel number (like TV's use) instead of something that looks like a scrambled up random sequence number. That change alone saves me many hours when figuring out all the correct XMLTV IDs to type into each channel, whenever I have to do a new scan. (Now if only Schedules Direct could list which channel numbers Cox map all the digital stations to, and Cox could stop moving them around all the time....).
