[mythtv-users] 2 TB Hard Drive Recommendations

I have bought
6 x 500gb 7200rpm drives including two seagate drives with the
firmware issue, 2 maxtor (two different diamondmax versions) and a
samsung and a WD

one maxtor and one seagate have died; they were all bought around the
same time and used equally.

I have also 1 1.5tb seagate 7200 used for recordings and 1 2tb samsung
("green" 5400) drive; used for less intense duties (mythvideo, music
and general fileserving).
the 2tb samsung drive is 4 months old I guess and the 1.5 tb about a year old.
The 1.5tb seagate drive is already listing bad sectors. These drives
run a little warm (the seagate worse than the samsung obviously) but
at a constant temperature and they are not shutdown.
