If it stays dvb-t then the card will continue to work. If however like the
uk they are chamging to dvb-t2 then you'll need a new card

Please excuse brevity and mistakes this email was composed on a mobile

Can someone please shed some light into this:

The TV broadcasting system in Greece is about to be upgraded to digital,
using dvb-t mpeg4. Athens and a few major cities have moved to dvb-T /mpeg4
transmission, but my town hasn't yet. Currently, the national tv transmits 4
channels (1 transponder) on dvb-t mpeg2, which I can tune using a lifeview
Trio pci.

When the transition to mpeg4 occurs, will I have to change the tv card or is
the mpeg4 decoding done by mythtv, leaving the dvb-t decoding part to the
card?

Thanks,

Yianni.
