[mythtv-users] settings in myth mysteriously changing

Has anyone else encountered settings on their myth frontend mysteriously 
changing?

I have the following setup:
Frontend/Backend machine running in the living room with a static IP 
address and hostname "gateway"
Frontend only machine in bedroom also with a static IP and hostname 
"bedroom"

I have noticed that occasionally the settings on the frontend in the 
living room are changing seemingly on their own.

On one instance the sound output device had changed - I am not 100% sure 
but I suspect this was after I was playing with the sound output 
settings of the bedroom machine.

Today also I found that the living room machine video playback profile 
had been switched from VDPAU to CPU++. This is very strange since even 
on the bedroom machine I would have never chose this setting (it is an 
ATOM based PC).

I am at a loss as to how these settings are being changed.
