Nico I agree, I as well have followed every update and patch and as have 
most of us spent an inordinate amount of time tweaking this great product.
It's just truly unfortunate that Ubuntu among others do not present more 
options with regard to
"do you want pulseaudio or not" but I think it only fair to warn others 
that it does not play nicely with MythTV.
I have no misgivings about upgrading MythTV, the developers do a 
fantastic job but sometimes when
a component such as pulseaudio introduces far more problems than benefits
to MythTV I just want something that works!
