Neither MythTV nor any other open source program will ever support 
cablecard.  The only way DRM works is if you hide the keys from the 
user, and you simply cannot hide things in open source programs. The 
only way you can have functional DRM on a linux system is by having 
considerable hardware support such that the unencrypted content is never 
made available to the system.
