   Revos come with a copy of Windows XP. I suppose that could be a cheap way 
of having a Windows box available for this sort of thing.

   Have you tried the Sun version of VirtualBox? I haven't tried any of my
1212's with it, but it does well enough with my iphone in terms of USB 
support. The libre version (or whatever they call it) that shows up in places
like the Ubuntu repositories doesn't have the USB support included.
