Thanks Mike,

I actually got past 7146 with my little manual directory copy (not very elegant,
I know). That was one of the first issues I was having. I don't appear to be
having the same issues as 8158.

The problem I am having has been listed by everyone else as a problem with the
mythweather module (which I was able to fix by dropping the tables and removing
the reference to the mythweb schema version - thanks to someone elses kind post
online). Although I haven't configured mythweather I am not seeing any errors
anymore and all options appear to be available (I believe this was broken by an
upgrade to MySQL that I performed a while ago as it was complaining about syntax).

Given the text of the error "Call to a member function query_col() on a
non-object" and anecdotally as other people have got around this by fixing
mythweather. I am wondering how I can find out what that "non-object" might be
which will then lead me to a solution.

Regards

Allan
