[mythtv-users] Acer Revo AR1600 using HDMI has problems showing Myth on TV

Hi all,

I decided to buy an Acer Revo AR1600 as a Myth frontend and
started setting it up over the weekend (using Mythbuntu 9.10 same as my backend).

I have a problem displaying to the TV using HDMI... If I
connect it using VGA, everything works but using HDMI,
nothing is displayed once mythtv starts loading (screen goes
dark as soon as the Myth splash screen (with the progress
bar) gets displayed.

I chose the nvidia 185 drivers when installing.
The TV is a 720p (more like 1360x768). Tonight I will try
it using another TV (different brand) with the same
resolution. I looked at the Xorg.0.log file and did not see
anything that seemed wrong.

The Xorg.conf file is pretty stock at the moment. According
to the TV, it is getting a signal and the
resolution/frequency seem fine too but the display remains
dark. As I said earlier, I do get all boot up data displayed
using HDMI and see the little MythTV icon in the middle of
the screen for a second and then, all goes dark. (SSH to the
box works fine).
