Good point. In a home made dual power supply situation for a server at
work I had to add use wire wound resistors to load the 3.3V rail to
achieve the minimum 0.5A load for that. The +5V and +12V were fine
since the dozen or so hard drives provided the load for that.. This
was 5 years ago when 1000W supplies did not exist. Last year I
replaced both supplies with a single supply to power the system and 20
sata hard drives..
