  One
of my frontends, thankfully not the main one, must have a perl? or
mythtv misconfiguration problem.

Specifically, it can grab movies metadata but it cannot grab television
episode data.

Both scripts use Python, and both scripts have the same dependency
set. If one works, the other will work, or else you have done
something very very wrong.

The error in the terminal is

2010-04-03 00:39:02.105 GetVideoList returned 1 possible matches

2010-04-03 00:39:02.117
"/usr/share/mythtv/mythvideo/scripts/Television/tvdb_api.py" failed:
Process error 0

2010-04-03 00:39:02.172
"/usr/share/mythtv/mythvideo/scripts/Television/tvdb_api.py" failed:
Could not start process

That's not where that file is supposed to be, nor should you be running
that file directly. You shouldn't have even been able to run that
script directly from the frontend.

The tvdb.py and the tvdb folder are correctly placed under
/usr/share/mythtv/mythvideo/scripts/Television folder.

No. That's not correct. Where were you told that's what you were
supposed to do?

I hadn't noticed your first message, so I replied to the second.

Sorry for the perl / python mixup. It's rather late here...

The location of the file maybe is wrong, but that's the log entry I get
in the terminal I run mythfrontend from.

The last try was:

2010-04-03 03:30:58.335
"/usr/share/mythtv/mythvideo/scripts/Television/tvdb_api.py" failed:
Process error 0

2010-04-03 03:30:58.372
"/usr/share/mythtv/mythvideo/scripts/Television/tvdb_api.py" failed:
Could not start process

I am not "forcing" myth to run this file, I don't know where it gets
this setting from. I am not running it directly, either.

The ttvdb folder must have remained from some previous installation of
trunk - should I be running 'make uninstall' between reinstallations?

Thanks again for your help.
