I don't have an answer for your specific questions, as they seem to
have been covered by others. However, as an alternative you could set
up MythExport at home and MythImport or MythNetVision (.23 only, not
stable yet) or MythNetTV to subscribe and import recordings
automatically. I've had a master plan in my head for a couple years on
how to set this all up but have never tried it due to the potential
piracy implications.
