Michael,

MythVideo/Jamu/all the other fun new tools reckon files in mythvideo
on a one file = one episode basis. So you would need to rip each
individual episode to a single file. If You have Lost Season 1 Disk
1, which theoretically contains three episodes, you would need to use
a tool (I would use Handbrake, personally) to create three video files
from it, and to organize them according to one of the following naming
schemes:

That said, it's well worth the effort IMHO (and not just because I
wrote the MythVideo code for it ;) ) as effects such as the following
are possible (forgive the showing off, have been tweaking metadata
handing over the past few days and thought you/others might enjoy):

http://www.fecitfacta.com/2.png

The above were created by doing nothing more than organizing my
episodes with sensible filenames, scanning them in, and running a
metadata grab on each (which is as simple as highlighting the episode
and pressing "W").

For anyone looking at the above who has been using trunk, yes, as of
tonight if you pull metadata from the UI you will now get season
specific coverart, banners, and different fanart for each season. :)
