[mythtv-users] Issue with a scanning for moved Portland channel

A few months ago, one of our local stations (Portland, OR FOX
affiliate KPTV) changed frequencies, and due to laziness, and lack of
interesting shows during the summer, I never updated the channel table
in MythTV.
Well, now that fall is upon us, I'd like to start recording on that
channel, so I went to my backend setup, and rescanned, but for some
reason, the new channel is not being detected on the scan. It signal
locks, but returns back with Timeout Scanning : no tables. (as
opposed to no signal).
I've tried using dvb-utils 'scan' and I can successfully scan all
channels, but when it hits channel 12, it pauses and finally returns
"WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0000" then moves on to the other
channels.
Anybody have any tips/ideas as to how to diagnose this problem?
