[mythtv-users] Myth reading duplicate keypresses from remote

I run IRW and confirmed that a single keypress (like Esc) on my remote
generates one lirc message (ESC).
 
But in myth each ESC and ENTER seem to be received/acted on twice.  Anyone
have an idea why?
