[mythtv-users] Firewire for Scientific Atlanta 3250

I had to change cable TV (Cox) providers and now I'm trying to control
the STB with an IR Blaster. I'm unable to get it to change any
channels because I have a feeling I'm having this issue.

Anyhow, I'm going to try firewire but my PC doesn't have firewire
card. Can someone tell me what kind of card I need and what kind of
cable? I guess the only way to test if the port(s) is on is to hook a
cable to it?
