[mythtv-users] Why did you pick MythTV VS the other PVRs?

I suppose the Linux in me has always been predisposed, but here are my  
other reasons:

I have not found any other solution to be as powerful, expandable,  
upgradeable and customisable
The lack of any decent free EPG sources outside of MythTV (Shepherd is  
the one I use here in Australia)
Once having configured the box, and refrained from further tinkering,  
it just works
My partner finds it easy to use
