Do you need to use the PVR-350 for playback for some reason. It is
generally discouraged these days. It tends to have various problems
and doesn't always play nice with X from what I recall. Since Mpeg2
decoding is trivial on virtually any CPU these days it doesn't make
much sense to use the 350 for playback anymore. Are you just using it
for the s-video out? You would probably be better off in terms of
quality, stability, and easy of use, to just pick up any Nvidia card
with an S-video out. You can find these for $20-$30 online.
