I currently run 3 * Nova-T and 1 * Nova-TD, Multirec enabled, without
problems.

System is running OpenSuSE 11.1 with latest updates and MythTV 0.21.

Most of the problems I've noticed mentioned on the web with Nova sticks
seem to come from V4L/firmware and the USB hardware on the motherboard.

There was a specific problem with AMD chipsets at one point, however I
think this was resolved, you may just be unlucky.

Have you tried (i.e. are you able to) run this on another machine with
different motherboard to see if that's what's causing the problem?
